Gate and Access Control Technician Location:

Atlanta, GA.

security systems company

specializing in the installation and servicing of

Surveillance Cameras (CCTV), Access Control, Gate Access Systems, Intrusion Alarms, and Fire Alarms

for

commercial properties

and

new construction projects .

We are seeking a

skilled and motivated Gate and Access Control Technician

with hands‑on experience in gate and access control systems. The ideal candidate will bring strong troubleshooting abilities, a positive attitude, and a long‑term career mindset—not just looking for a job.

Key Responsibilities

Troubleshoot and repair gate operators, barrier arm operators, call boxes, and access control panels using tools such as multimeters to test relays, boards, and power supplies.

Perform installations of gate and access control components on new and existing systems.

Conduct minor repairs on gate panels, including cutting, bending, and welding metal components.

Read and interpret schematics, wiring diagrams, blueprints, and work orders.

Provide detailed information for estimates, including parts and labor hours.

Communicate effectively with customers, providing updates on service status and educating them on newly installed systems.

Collaborate with other departments on multi‑system installations.

Accurately log time, notes, and photos in the company’s ticketing system using mobile apps and tools.

Required Skills & Experience

Minimum 3-5 years of experience servicing vehicle gates and/or access control systems (non‑negotiable).

Strong troubleshooting and problem‑solving skills.

Experience with welding, concrete work, and electronic repairs.

Working knowledge of construction principles and safety procedures.

Excellent communication and customer service skills.

Ability to read and apply information from technical documents and manuals.

Basic computer and mobile app skills (Gmail, T‑Sheets, ticketing systems).

Familiarity with the following products preferred: Door King, Lift Master, Viking, Swift lane, Avigilon, Alarm.com.

Requirements

Valid driver's license with a clean 3‑year driving record.

Ownership or willingness to purchase required tools.

Honesty, integrity, and professional appearance are a must.

Willingness to work outdoors in various weather conditions.

Typical schedule: Monday‑Friday, 8:00 AM – 6:00 PM (occasional Saturday or evening work may be required).

Ability to adapt to changing schedules and contribute to a team‑oriented environment.
