Construction Superintendent – Healthcare Join Marand Builders, Inc. as a dynamic General Contractor Healthcare Construction Superintendent. You will oversee ground‑up hospital and free‑standing emergency room projects from inception to completion, ensuring safety, schedule, budget, and stakeholder satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

Enforce safety compliance (OSHA, Marand safety plan) and advocate for safety.

Supervise field construction to meet design, budget, schedule, and client objectives.

Conduct weekly on‑site meetings with subcontractors, vendors, and others.

Enforce compliance with all project procedures and safety program requirements.

Prepare and distribute field reports, daily superintendent’s reports, safety reports, and punch‑list management via Procore.

Monitor subcontractor progress, manage manpower, and ensure project schedule.

Prepare subcontractor work schedules and collaborate with the Project Manager on construction schedules.

Verify layouts, establish control lines and grades.

Respond to subcontractor questions and coordinate documentation with Construction Manager.

Participate in pre‑construction planning, logistics, bid and scope reviews, and project estimates.

Maintain an up‑to‑date set of contract documents on site.

Maintain record drawings (“red line as‑built”) during construction.

Manage on‑site field office to project a professional image.

Communicate financial, safety, progress, labor, material, quality, code issues with the Construction Manager.

Interface with Project Managers and other personnel.

Mentor and train other Superintendents.

Continue education in OSHA, safety, codes, and new technology.

Maintain current Red Cross First Aid, CPR, and permit process knowledge.

Ensure overall jobsite cleanliness to Marand standards.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in construction management, engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).

At least ten years of experience in healthcare construction, overseeing ground‑up hospital, clinic, facility, and lab projects.

Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills; ability to manage multiple teams, subcontractors, and stakeholders.

Construction OSHA 30 within the last 5 years; ability to renew.

ICRA certification; familiarity with local government entities.

Proficient in project reporting software, MS Office, and blueprint reading.

Knowledge of building codes, safety regulations, air flow standards, and quality standards.

Problem‑solving and decision‑making skills with proactive, results‑oriented approach.

Valid driver’s license; ability to travel up to 75% of job sites.

High School Diploma minimum; Bachelor’s degree or Associate’s preferred.

Five to ten years on‑the‑job experience required.

OSHA‑30 hour training and recertification every 5 years per Marand policy.

Physical Demands & Work Environment Construction site work indoors and outdoors; extended hours, night shifts, climbing, and heavy lifting up to 50 pounds.
