Job Overview We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Electronics Technician to join our growing team. In this role, you will be responsible for assembling, testing, troubleshooting, and maintaining electronic components and systems for NMR spectroscopy equipment. The ideal candidate will possess strong hands‑on technical skills, excellent problem‑solving abilities, and experience with precision electronic instrumentation. Your expertise will be crucial in building reliable systems and supporting our research and development objectives as we bring innovative NMR technology to market.

Responsibilities Technical Operations:

Assemble, test, and troubleshoot electronic circuits, RF systems, and precision instrumentation for NMR spectrometers

Conduct calibration and performance testing of electronic assemblies and subsystems

Perform regular maintenance and repairs on electronic equipment and instrumentation

Document assembly procedures, test results, and technical specifications accurately

Collaborate with engineering team to prototype and refine new designs

Maintain detailed records of component inventory, equipment status, and maintenance logs

Inventory & Materials Management:

Monitor and manage inventory levels of electronic components, cables, connectors, and consumables

Conduct regular audits of component inventory to maintain accuracy and traceability

Coordinate with suppliers for procurement of specialized electronic components and test equipment

Implement effective inventory control measures to minimize waste and ensure availability of critical parts

Organize and maintain electronics workshop, ensuring proper ESD protection and safety protocols

Quality & Process Improvement:

Utilize data analysis to identify equipment performance trends and opportunities for improvement

Support development of standard operating procedures for assembly and testing

Assist in training team members on electronics best practices, safety, and equipment operation

Participate in design reviews to provide practical feedback on manufacturability and reliability

Required Skills & Qualifications Technical Expertise:

Associate degree or certificate in Electronics Technology, Electrical Engineering Technology, or related field; or equivalent combination of education and experience

Proven experience assembling and troubleshooting analog and digital electronic circuits

Proficiency with electronic test equipment including oscilloscopes, multimeters, signal generators, spectrum analyzers, and network analyzers

Strong understanding of electronic principles, circuit analysis, and troubleshooting methodologies

Experience with soldering and rework of through‑hole and surface‑mount components

Ability to read and interpret electronic schematics, PCB layouts, and technical documentation

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience with RF electronics, impedance matching, and signal integrity

Familiarity with scientific instrumentation, data acquisition systems, or precision measurement equipment

Knowledge of NMR spectroscopy, magnetic resonance, or related analytical instrumentation

Experience with LabVIEW, Python, or other instrumentation control software

Understanding of electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) and shielding techniques

IPC certification or equivalent quality standards training

Professional Skills:

Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities

Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality

Effective communication skills for technical documentation and team collaboration

Self‑motivated with ability to work independently in a startup environment

Comfortable with ambiguity and adapting to evolving requirements

Capability for lifting and moving equipment up to 50 lbs as required

What We Offer

Competitive salary: $50,000 – $75,000 annually, commensurate with experience (approximately $24-36/hour)
