Company/Location Overview: Welcome to Barton 1792 Distillery, Barton Brands of Kentucky. Our proud heritage dates back to 1879 with the founding of the Tom Moore Distillery in Bardstown, Kentucky. Renamed Barton 1792 Distillery, we continue to produce the highest quality spirits for over 130 years. In 2009, we became a part of Sazerac Company which was established in 1850 and is a leading U.S. spirits supplier, with the world’s most decorated distillery, and a portfolio of award-winning brands.
Responsibilities
Operational Oversight: Supervise bottling lines to meet production schedules safely and efficiently; provide technical support and coordinate maintenance.
Production Management: Evaluate production efficiency and implement improvements; establish work schedules and monitor quality standards.
Safety Leadership: Enforce safety regulations and lead safety programs; investigate incidents and participate in safety inspections.
Employee Development: Train and motivate bottling line employees; conduct performance evaluations and create development plans.
Continuous Improvement: Drive process and product improvements; ensure compliance with safety and quality policies.
Customer Satisfaction: Ensure timely production and delivery of quality products; address production-related issues quickly.
Cost Management: Recommend cost-saving ideas and track efficiency; analyze and resolve material and waste issues.
Team Environment: Foster a respectful and collaborative team culture; uphold company values and improve workplace climate.
Regulatory Compliance: Ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA, and TTB regulations; take corrective actions as needed.
Scheduled Shift: Monday through Friday; either 2nd (3:00pm-11:00pm) or 3rd (11:00pm-7:00am); with flexibility to work various shifts when needed.
By fulfilling these responsibilities, the Bottling Supervisor helps achieve production goals while maintaining a safe and positive work environment.
Qualifications/Requirements REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's degree
Minimum of 2 years of related experience
Demonstrated leadership skills
Proficient in using computer systems, including MS Office products
Proven ability to communicate with all levels in an organization
Excellent oral and written communication skills
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Working knowledge of high speed bottling equipment
Previous experience as a supervisor in a fast paced production environment
A proven track record of successful management experience in a unionized manufacturing environment
Proven knowledge of manufacturing best practices
Strong planning and organizational skills
Lean Manufacturing experience
GMP and HACCP experience
