The Engineer must possess the desire and ability to maintain all plant equipment. As a member of the Jerome team, the Engineer will be a partner in the Operations Division. The Engineer’s role is to perform repairs and preventive maintenance on all plant equipment.
What You Will Do
Ensure operation of machinery and mechanical equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements on engines, motors, pneumatic tools, conveyor systems, and production machines; following diagrams, sketches, operations manuals, manufacturer's instructions, and engineering specifications; and troubleshooting malfunctions. Control downtime by informing production workers of routine preventive maintenance techniques and monitoring compliance. Fabricate repair parts using machine shop instrumentation and equipment. Proficient in process instrumentation, including troubleshooting, preventive maintenance, and calibration. Read, understand, and troubleshoot using electrical schematics. General electrical troubleshooting of 24 V, 110 V, 220 V, and 480 V systems. Understand the theory behind process flow. What You Bring
Highly proficient and experienced in troubleshooting, PLCs, electrical controls, and instrumentation. Knowledgeable in the areas of mechanical machinery, steam, boiler, pneumatic & hydraulic operations. Read/understand blueprints, electrical schematics, and equipment manuals. Strong team, verbal, and written skills. Must be available ALL DAYS, ALL SHIFTS. Sanitary welding experience required. Boiler and/or Refrigeration experience preferred. Education, Experience, and Certifications
Minimum 3 years in mechanical/electrical maintenance, or an instrumentation certificate. Food background preferred, specifically dairy. Experience in a variety of manufacturing areas (production, logistics) within consumer products. Our Commitment to Diversity
