European Economic Area (EEA)
starting as soon as possible.
Your Responsibilities
Electrical planning and system design of Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) in the utility‑scale segment
Creation of single‑line diagrams (SLD), protection concepts, and electrical system layouts
Design and dimensioning of battery modules, inverter systems (PCS), transformers, cabling, and medium‑voltage connections
Selection and technical specification of relevant BESS components (e.g. battery containers, HVAC, BMS, EMS, protection systems)
Development of technical documentation, including wiring diagrams, cable schedules, interface documentation, bills of materials (BoM), and design reports
Technical coordination with project management, procurement, suppliers, and grid operators
Ensuring compliance with applicable standards and regulations (e.g. VDE-AR-N 4110/4120, IEC 62933, IEC 61439, VDE 0100)
Support in system optimisation through evaluation of operational data and simulations
Your Profile
Degree in Electrical Engineering, Energy Engineering, or a comparable qualification
Several years of professional experience in the design and engineering of BESS systems, ideally in the utility‑scale sector
In‑depth knowledge of BESS component integration (batteries, PCS, transformer, protection systems, BMS/EMS, grid interface)
Proficient in relevant tools such as:
AutoCAD / EPLAN (for electrical schematics and layouts)
ETAP, DIgSILENT PowerFactory (for grid calculations and protection concepts)
Excel (for technical analysis and BoM creation), optionally Python for automating calculations
Experience with grid connection projects, common EPC processes, and interface coordination
Knowledge of medium‑voltage technology, protection systems, and compliant design of electrical systems
Business fluent in English, both written and spoken
Independent, structured, and solution‑oriented working style
