About Our Company
Lids Sports Group is the largest licensed sports retailer in North America, selling fan and fashion-oriented headwear and apparel across the US, Canada, Mexico, Europe, and Australia. Operating out of Indianapolis, IN, our retail stores offer officially licensed headwear and apparel from collegiate and professional sports teams, plus top brands like Nike, New Era, Adidas, and Mitchell & Ness.
We currently operate 1,200+ locations domestically and 50+ internationally, including specialty concept stores for the NBA, NHL, Paris Saint-Germain, and numerous MLB teams. In recent years, Lids has built partnerships with iconic global brands including Marvel, Playboy, and the Harlem Globetrotters, and gained ambassadors like Justin Jefferson, Quavo, and Josephine Skriver – creating a community for both sports fans and fashion lovers.

General Position Summary
Produce sales gains by providing excellent customer service. Meet or exceed Company Objectives in all individual statistics. Learn to provide consistent, documented appraisal of an associate’s sales performance. Support by giving feedback on strengths and opportunities while aligning with Company Objectives. Adhere to current visual guidelines, including proper merchandising, signage, and store cleanliness. Maintain a professional appearance consistent with the Company Dress Code Policy. Generate Sales
Produce sales gains through customer service. Meet or exceed Company Objectives in all individual statistics. Provide consistent, documented appraisal of sales performance; support with feedback. Adhere to visual merchandising, signage, and cleanliness guidelines. Maintain professional appearance per Dress Code Policy. Control Expenses
Protect Company assets within LIDS Retail policies. Assist in preparing store schedules ensuring proper coverage and wage control. Manage store inventory accurately, including receiving, transferring, pricing, and counting. Perform documentation and record keeping per policies and laws. Open and close the store following procedures. Support all policies, procedures, and guidelines. Additional Principal Duties and Responsibilities
Supervise Associates
Participate in training programs, set and follow goals. Assist in recruiting and training store personnel. Ensure compliance with policies, inventory security, and store assets. Perform work of subordinates as needed. Communicate effectively at all levels. Perform other duties as assigned. Job Required Knowledge & Skills
High school diploma or equivalent plus one year relevant experience. Ability to produce sales results while minimizing loss. Strong interpersonal and verbal communication skills. Proficiency in operating computers and relevant software. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds. Ability to climb ladders and work with hands overhead. Standing required for up to 100% of work time. Ability to work independently. Preferred Job Required Knowledge & Skills
Assistant Store Managers can earn up to 25% above local minimum wage based on experience. Exact compensation varies by skills, experience, and location. PT Assistant Store Managers are eligible for monthly sales bonuses and a 40% employee discount. Reports To
