Responsibilities:
Lead and manage the month-end close process within established deadlines. Review and analyze financial statements for multiple locations, identifying variances and ensuring accuracy. Oversee accounts payable and receivable, ensuring proper coding, approvals, and payment timeliness. Monitor general ledger accounts, investigate discrepancies, and support location-level audits. Prepare and file sales tax, use tax, and 1099 forms for assigned locations. Support the preparation of external audit materials and collaborate with auditors. Develop and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs) for accounting workflows. Set up accounting systems and processes for new restaurant openings. Review and approve corporate credit card expense reports. Manage weekly and monthly financial reporting for executive leadership. Lead quarterly budget updates and assist with the annual budget process. Mentor and guide the accounting team, fostering professional growth and operational excellence. Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance. 3–5 years of accounting management experience in hospitality, multi-location retail, or restaurant operations. CPA designation preferred but not required. Proficiency with GAAP and experience supporting external audits. Strong communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with executives and cross-functional teams. Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Excel skills. Experience with Restaurant365 or similar ERP/accounting software strongly preferred. Proven ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
