Location: Sparta, New Jersey
Type: Contract-to-Hire Compensation: $21 hourly Contractor Work Model: Onsite Hours: 6:00 am - 2:30 pm EST
Overview
We’re seeking an experienced Industrial Sewer to sew, cut, and assemble synthetic fabrics according to specifications. This role involves pattern layout, material preparation, and quality inspection.
Key Responsibilities
Sew, cut, and layout synthetic fabrics per pattern requirements Use double-needle sewing machines and follow match marks for alignment Fold, stretch, or trim materials for proper fit and finish Verify materials and patterns match job tickets Perform final inspection and quality checks Lift and pack fabric rolls for shipping
Qualifications
Experience operating double-needle sewing machines Skilled in fabric layout and cutting to pattern or cut-sheet specs Ability to read blueprints and use rulers/fractions accurately Able to lift heavy fabric bolts and work onsite Monday–Friday
