Job Summary And Responsibilities
Diagnose and treat various medical conditions.
Develop and implement comprehensive treatment plans.
Conduct thorough medical examinations and histories.
Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams; provide clear and concise medical information; foster a collaborative and patient‑centered approach to healthcare.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records; document medical findings, diagnoses, and treatment plans; ensure compliance with coding and billing regulations.
Order and interpret diagnostic tests (lab work, imaging) and perform procedures as needed.
Collaborate with specialists, nurses, and other healthcare professionals; participate in interdisciplinary team meetings and case discussions; provide consultative services to other providers.
Participate in quality assurance and improvement initiatives; review and analyze clinical outcomes; implement changes to enhance patient care and safety.
Adhere to ethical and legal standards in medical practice; stay informed about healthcare regulations and compliance requirements; participate in quality audits to ensure adherence to standards.
Stay abreast of medical advancements and best practices; participate in ongoing medical education and training; contribute to the development of clinical protocols and guidelines.
Job Requirements
American Board Certified or Board Eligible in Obstetrics and Gynecology.
Valid and unrestricted state medical license (or license‑eligible) in Iowa and Nebraska.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

Where You'll Work CHI Health Clinic is actively seeking a full‑time OB/GYN to join our established practice in Council Bluffs, Iowa. Based at the Valley View Clinic and CHI Health Mercy Council Bluffs Hospital, this is an exciting opportunity to join an established, robust practice.
Busy practice with an existing patient panel.
Growing team of 2 physicians and 2 Advanced Practice Providers.
Call schedule 1:6+.
Average of 21‑24 patient visits per day per provider.
Average of 10 deliveries per month per provider.
In‑office ultrasound, NST, and colposcopy; LEEP available inpatient only.
Full‑spectrum obstetrics and gynecology care for women of all ages.
Use EPIC electronic health records.
Integrated clinic model partnering closely with primary care, diabetes education, psychiatry, physical therapy, and pharmacy.
Collaboration with women’s subspecialties: Maternal Fetal Medicine, Urogynecology.
Opportunities for outreach in Southwest Iowa.
Involvement in medical student, resident, and fellow education.
Opportunity for academic appointment with Creighton University.
Pay Range $155.86 – $174.90 per hour
