General Summary
The Speech Language Pathologist provides medically prescribed services for inpatients in an acute care setting to restore function, minimize disability following disease or injury, and to assist the patient in reaching his/her maximum possible level of functioning to assume a place in society while learning to live within the limits of his/her disability. The role includes delivering assessments and treatment activities with patients, frequently requiring internal contacts with other work groups to exchange work‑related information and external contacts to provide or receive factual information. Requires normal courtesy and tact in dealing with others.
Minimum Qualifications
Master’s degree in Speech‑Language Pathology.
Current State licensure as Speech Language Pathologist required.
Certificate of Clinical Competency from the American Speech‑Language‑Hearing Association preferred.
Current CPR certification.
Successful completion of Speech‑Language Pathology Clinical Fellowship.
Experience in acute care setting required.
Salary Range Minimum $51.00/hour – Maximum $51.00/hour. Compensation will be commensurate with equity and experience for roles of similar scope and responsibility. In cases where the range is displayed as a $0 amount, salary discussions will occur during candidate screening calls, before any subsequent compensation discussion is held between the candidate and any hiring authority.
