Job Overview RWJBarnabas Health is seeking a highly dedicated Clinical Care Technician for 4 Tower- Post Intensive Care Unit, in our New Brunswick Facility. It is a busy 32 bed cardiac unit. We see a range of telemetry, medical-surgical, and intermediate care patient acuities. Types of patients we care for include post cardiac procedures, sepsis, dialysis, heart failure, and respiratory failure.

Qualifications Required:

High School Diploma or GED equivalent.

Basic Life Support (CPR) through American Heart Association.

Preferred:

Previous nursing assistant experience or clinical experience from an accredited nursing program.

Certified Nursing Assistant.

Scheduling Requirements

Night Shift, 36 hours per week, 7 p.m.–7:30 a.m., including every other weekend and holidays.

Essential Functions

Assist patients with activities of daily living and provide nursing care including vital signs, EKG, phlebotomy, bedside care (bathing, mouth care, skin care).

Provide patient care appropriate to the age and needs of patients in assigned service.

Ensure effective and safe patient outcomes through practice, judgment, and critical action.

Maintain ongoing communication with patients and nursing colleagues regarding patient status.

Participate in collaboration of patient’s plan of care from admission to discharge to ensure safe transitions.
