Senior Accounts Payable Specialist Salary: 95-105k Location: La Jolla - Hybrid (2 days on-site)

An established, fast-growing organization is looking for a Senior Accounts Payable Specialist to join their finance team. This position will provide essential support to senior AP team members while contributing to the optimization of processes and the development of others. As the company expands globally, this role will be critical in ensuring operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

Act as a knowledgeable resource for full-cycle accounts payable, offering training and guidance to team members.

Review and mentor junior AP team members’ work to ensure accuracy and compliance.

Resolve complex accounts payable issues and ensure alignment with audit requirements and SOX regulations.

Propose and implement process improvements aimed at supporting scalable growth.

Oversee vendor management, 1099 filings, and month-end accruals as part of the financial close cycle.

Assist with audit preparation and ensure adherence to internal controls.

Collaborate with other departments and maintain effective working relationships.

Provide exceptional customer service and support to both internal and external partners.

Required Qualifications

3+ years of experience in full-cycle accounts payable.

Deep knowledge of SOX compliance and auditing procedures.

Advanced proficiency in Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP) and the Microsoft Office Suite.

Experience with D365 (preferred but not mandatory) and familiarity with Concur is a plus.

Strong organizational and analytical skills with attention to detail.

Self-motivated with a focus on growth and process enhancement.

Team-oriented with excellent communication skills, capable of training others.

Compensation & Benefits

Salary range: $95K - $105K

Annual bonus potential of 12%, along with an equity package (stock options and RSUs)
