Position Overview
DCG is an award‑winning, full‑service engagement, digital, research, and data company with over 15 years of experience supporting the military, Veterans, and the American public. Our work spans human trafficking awareness, mental health stigma reduction, suicide prevention, ending homelessness, Veteran health, transportation safety, small business resources, public diplomacy, and more. We employ mixed‑methods research, Human‑Centered Design, and change management principles to integrate new technologies around well‑researched user journeys.
We are seeking an experienced communications professional to lead all Outreach and Engagement activities for a large‑scale program that supports community quality‑of‑life initiatives for active military service members, their families, and survivors worldwide. This role will manage integrated communications, stakeholder affairs, strategic communications and analysis, content and creative services, digital strategies, media relations, public affairs, and military community/public engagement. Prior experience managing large‑scale government public‑awareness campaigns is required.
Location Remote; the selected candidate will work during DCG’s core Eastern Standard Time business hours. Candidates located within the National Capital Region will be given preference due to the possibility for ad‑hoc, in‑person support.
Responsibilities
Responsible for the oversight of all personnel related to this task area, including ideation and performance
Make recommendations to the Government customer regarding schedules, personnel, performance, and ideation, as well as responding to any customer issues, concerns, or problems
Establish and track KPIs and web health metrics, delivering reports as directed by the customer
Develop comprehensive communications plans, including ad‑hoc plans and tactics bundles that include detailed journey maps for key audience segments that identify challenges and opportunities for enhanced engagement
Design and refine brand strategies, customer and process journey maps, and user personas to inform tailored communication strategies that resonate with each audience segment
Develop and manage targeted media campaigns
Develop comprehensive earned, organic and paid media strategies that align with overarching communication objectives
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree related to public relations, marketing, or communications
8+ years of experience managing Government communications, corporate communications, or marketing communications including stakeholder management and maintaining internal and external relationships
5+ years of experience in Outreach and Engagement management related to brand and content development, public relations, strategic planning, and web and social media operations
Active DoD Secret Clearance required
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with Web CMS, UI/UX testing and curation, and ad campaign management
Experience developing targeted campaigns for a user base of 1 million or greater
PMP or DAWIA III Program Management certification
