Our client is seeking a
Project Engineer
to join their Offsite Manufacturing team in Seattle. This role focuses on supporting large data center projects and offers the opportunity to make an immediate impact within a fast‑paced, collaborative environment. The ideal candidate is passionate about solving problems, improving workflows, and driving project success.
Responsibilities
Develop and manage project plans, schedules, and scopes of work.
Manage procurement, purchasing, and supply chain coordination.
Track project financials and support budget adherence.
Coordinate logistics and vendor communication to ensure timely material delivery.
Assist with RFIs, submittals, and schedule tracking using tools like P6 or MS Project.
Interpret shop drawings and support construction sequencing.
Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to streamline workflows and improve efficiency.
Support project managers and field teams with technical documentation and reporting.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or equivalent field experience.
2–5 years of experience in construction or manufacturing environments.
Proficiency in Navisworks, Bluebeam, Excel, and scheduling tools (P6 or MS Project).
Strong understanding of construction processes including steel, heavy equipment, and general sequencing.
Experience with purchasing coordination and material logistics.
Experience working with a major mechanical subcontractor, especially in HVAC systems, is highly preferred.
Familiarity with budgeting, estimating, approving change orders, and cost tracking.
Disqualifiers
Less than 2 years of experience in project management, engineering, or construction.
No experience with HVAC systems or mechanical subcontractors.
Lack of financial oversight experience (budgeting, estimating, change orders, cost tracking).
No proficiency in scheduling tools like P6 or MS Project.
Limited understanding of construction sequencing or shop drawings.
