Senior Digital Accessibility & 508 Compliance Developer The Senior Digital Accessibility & 508 Compliance Developer will join an already successful team to grow our projects, other staff, and personally through the firm's commitment to our people. An experienced developer who brings mature technical skills, continually advancing themselves through training, involvement with product launches, and active within the team dynamics will find themselves at home with Myers and Stauffer. Our knowledgeable staff will partner with you in your career journey with us. Whether it be our software that manages billions of dollars of state and federal budgets, processes that consume billions of claims, custom portals for provider/client use, or the FBI/DOJ work to fight fraud, waste, and abuse, work is never dull in seeing the direct impact we have across the nation. This position will open several project opportunities across the firm; come join our expanding team!
Essential Functions
Participate as a key member on the development team
Proven experience as a web developer with a focus on accessibility
Understand and train others on common OOP concepts and design patterns
Self‑review skill gaps to cover our quarterly training hours
Take ownership of change management and SDLC processes and tools
Give and receive feedback on requirements or code reviews
Debug code across the entire technology stack
Develop and document technical requirements and decisions
Conduct small proof‑of‑concept projects to test improvements
Consider user experience and how to measure standard performance metrics
Conduct training sessions on knowledge sharing within and outside assigned teams
Establish strong relationships with business and IT members to deliver solid solutions
Maintain a high level of professionalism, regardless of business or client level
Confident in own skill set to lead peers in expanding others' skills
Consistently deliver high‑quality services and products
Provide adequate training and support to colleagues on accessibility best practices
Exhibit strong problem‑solving skills and attention to detail
Communicate effectively with designers, developers, and other stakeholders
Proficiency in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
Requirements
Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience required
3 years' of related work experience required; 8+ years strongly preferred
At least 1 year of related Section 508 standards and WCAG experience
Certifications such as Certified Professional in Accessibility Core Competencies (CPACC) or Web Accessibility Specialist (WAS) would be a plus
Knowledge of disability services, federal, state, and local laws and regulations related to the Americans with Disabilities Act
Solid experience in .NET; .NET Core/6+ preferred
Experience with ASP.NET Framework; ASP.NET Core
High proficiency with OOP languages & principles strongly preferred; proficiency in SQL languages preferred
Experience in mentoring staff of all levels
Experience in leading development a plus
Demonstrative proficiency building and supporting full‑stack development
Experience with consuming and developing web services and web APIs strongly preferred
Experience with CI/CD a plus
Understands secure coding practices preferred
Experience in technical requirement gathering and documentation
Must be able to work independently on projects and within a remote team environment
Maintain effective relationships with business stakeholders and team members
Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Ability to travel on occasion based on business needs
