The Solution Architect is the visionary and primary customer‑facing design leader. This role is responsible for translating complex business requirements across the DMLT service areas into a comprehensive, end‑to‑end technical and functional solution blueprint, ensuring alignment with the customer's overall IT strategy and SAP's best practices. This position demands comprehensive architecture expertise combined with outstanding communication skills to effectively engage with stakeholders at all levels.

What You’ll Do Strategic Solution Design & Presales

Lead pre‑sales and discovery workshops to gather detailed business requirements and pain points related to Business Data Transition, Transition to Business Suite (e.g., S/4HANA SDT), and Business Data Management initiatives (e.g., Archiving, Data Quality, Data Strategy, MDG and others).

Manage end‑to‑end implementations, ensuring successful delivery through all project phases, from preparation to go‑live.

Stay ahead of the curve with the latest SAP Business AI advancements, enabling customers to leverage AI and advanced analytics for competitive advantage. Act as the Subject Matter Expert (SME) for all technical and functional aspects of the DMLT portfolio, including the strategic use of SAP Business Data Cloud (BDC) and related platforms (e.g., Signavio, BTP) as a part of the data transformation landscape.

AI and Automation focus for initiatives with cloud first strategy DMLT Business Area Coverage

Business Data Transition: Define the architectural approach for complex system restructurings, consolidations or harmonizations, including the strategy for preserving or changing historical data and configuration during the optimization process.

Transition to Business Suite (S/4HANA Selective Data Transition): Design the Selective Data Transition (SDT) strategy, including the scope of historical and transactional data migration, conversion rules, and the phased approach to minimize business disruption.

Business Data Management: Architect solutions for Master Data Governance (MDG), Data Quality (DQ), Information Lifecycle Management (ILM) and system decommissioning in the context of landscape transformation.

Governance & Quality Assurance

Provide technical and functional guidance and sign‑off on the Delivery Architect's design and the Data Architect's data models to ensure adherence to the original solution blueprint.

Estimate project scope, effort, and timeline for DMLT engagements to support sales and project planning.

What You Bring

10+ years of SAP experience, with 5+ years in a Solution Architect or Lead Consultant role focused on SAP Data Migration or Transformation Projects and AI/ML/RPA use cases.

Deep knowledge of SAP modules (e.g., S/4HANA, ECC).

Expertise in Robotic Process Automation (RPA) platforms (e.g., UiPath, Automation Anywhere) and Microsoft Power Platform (specifically Power Automate). Proficient in integration technologies and APIs.

Experience with SAP GUI scripting, BAPIs, RFCs, and connectors for automation.

Proven ability to design end‑to‑end automation solutions for complex SAP landscapes with the ability to identify, prioritize, and define high‑value SAP automation use cases.

Programming expertise in ABAP and Python or similar languages.

Proficient using Microsoft Office Tools (i.e. PowerPoint, Excel, Word, Visio, Project, etc.).

Communicate effectively and professionally with internal and external stakeholders through both verbal and written channels.

Demonstrate strong interpersonal skills, including active listening and empathy, to foster a collaborative and positive work environment.

Exhibit excellent leadership and communication skills to motivate and align team members toward shared objectives.

Collaborate with cross‑functional teams, leveraging strong communication to manage projects and drive successful outcomes.

Compensation Range Transparency SAP believes the value of pay transparency contributes toward an honest and supportive culture and is a significant step toward demonstrating SAP’s commitment to pay equity. SAP provides the annualized compensation range inclusive of base salary and variable incentive target for the career level applicable to the posted role. The targeted combined range for this position is 135,000 – 215,000 USD. The actual amount to be offered to the successful candidate will be within that range, dependent upon the key aspects of each case which may include education, skills, experience, scope of the role, location, etc., as determined through the selection process. Any SAP variable incentive includes a targeted dollar amount and any actual payout amount is dependent on company and personal performance.
