Regional Sales Director, IO&E
for the Atlanta, GA region.
About The Role The Regional Sales Director for Interventional Oncology & Embolization (IOE) plays a key leadership role in driving growth and execution across a high‑potential region within Boston Scientific’s Peripheral Interventions (PI) division. This individual must be a strategic, self‑motivated leader with a strong track record of sales success, talent development, and market expansion. Boston Scientific’s PI business is a market leader, offering the most comprehensive portfolio in the space. With unprecedented innovation and product launches planned in the coming years, the Interventional Oncology & Embolization team is positioned to further advance our leadership in minimally invasive cancer treatment and vascular embolization.
Your Responsibilities Will Include
Integrating individual territory plans and account profiles into a broader regional sales strategy, and coaching the sales team accordingly
Preparing quarterly sales forecasts and participating in market potential and budget planning
Monitoring regional sales performance and implementing corrective action as needed
Leading the development and execution of regional targeting strategies
Identifying forecast gaps, defining action plans, and driving aggressive sales growth
Coaching representatives on selling skills, account targeting, and motivation through shared experience
Building strong relationships with economic buyers and decision‑makers in key accounts
Maintaining market and competitor intelligence by engaging with physicians, suppliers, and industry stakeholders
Supporting contract negotiations within the region and guiding teams through challenging economic situations
Ensuring compliance with company policies, reporting requirements, and CRM systems
Managing regional budget, expense control, and asset maintenance
Representing Boston Scientific at customer events, conferences, and industry forums
Collaborating with cross‑functional partners to drive business alignment and market penetration
Actively developing a pipeline of future sales talent and ensuring best‑in‑class hiring practices
Spending a minimum of 70% of time in the field to support sales rep development and customer relationships
Maintaining knowledge across the full product portfolio and effectively differentiating BSC offerings in competitive settings
Ensuring understanding and implementation of applicable BSC SOPs and audit readiness
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree (advanced degree preferred)
Minimum of 5 years’ related experience in medical device sales or equivalent combination of education and experience
Proven record of success in sales leadership within the medical device industry
Demonstrated ability to launch new, differentiated products and drive adoption
Willingness and ability to travel several days/nights per week
Preferred Qualifications
Minimum of 5 years’ experience in the medical device industry
Minimum of 2 years’ management or supervisory experience
Surgical oncology or interventional oncology background strongly preferred
Proven ability to drive new procedures and expand device utilization
Experience managing Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs) and clinical influencers
Demonstrated ability to recruit, develop, assess, and retain top‑performing talent
Proven ability to sell economic value to hospitals and integrated delivery networks (IDNs)
Compensation The anticipated annualized base amount or range for this full time position will be
$150,000 to $180,000 , plus variable compensation governed by the Sales Incentive Compensation Plan which includes certain annual non‑discretionary incentives based on predetermined objectives.
Health & Safety For U.S. based positions, including field sales, acceptable proof of COVID‑19 vaccination status may be required. Candidates will be notified during the interview and selection process if the role requires proof of vaccination as a condition of employment. This role is safety‑sensitive and will be subject to a drug test as a pre‑employment requirement.
