Overview The DevOps Engineer will lead the design, implementation, and maintenance of secure, scalable, and reliable CI/CD pipelines to accelerate software delivery across development teams. This role is heavily focused on pipeline automation, from code commit to production deployment—ensuring testing, compliance, and security are seamlessly integrated into every stage. The ideal candidate brings a deep automation mindset and thrives on creating developer‑friendly workflows that reduce friction, improve reliability, and enforce best practices. Salary range for the role is between $120,000 and $130,000 with an annual bonus. The position can be 100% remote, but if located in the Agoura Hills, CA area the expectation will be that the role is hybrid.
Responsibilities
Architect and implement CI/CD pipelines that automate build, test, and deployment processes across multiple environments.
Integrate quality gates, security scanning, and compliance checks into all stages of the pipeline (e.g., SAST, DAST, dependency scanning).
Automate approval workflows and pull request validation to enforce code quality and security standards.
Maintain and optimize pipeline performance for speed, reliability, and observability.
Collaborate closely with developers to integrate pipelines into existing workflows, resolve build issues, and reduce friction.
Leverage GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, Jenkins, and other tools to standardize CI/CD processes.
Support IaC and configuration management as part of deployment automation using Terraform and Ansible.
Create detailed documentation and runbooks for pipeline infrastructure and deployment procedures.
Advocate for and implement DevOps best practices across the engineering organization.
Qualifications
3+ years of hands‑on experience with building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines in production environments.
Strong expertise with GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, and/or Jenkins.
Experience integrating automated testing and security tools into the CI/CD lifecycle.
Familiarity with Infrastructure-as-Code tools (e.g., Terraform, CloudFormation, CDK) and configuration management (e.g., Ansible).
Proficiency with Git, branching strategies, and automated pull request validation.
Working knowledge of scripting languages such as Bash, PowerShell, or Python.
Excellent troubleshooting and problem‑solving skills in distributed environments.
Strong communication and collaboration skills with development teams.
