As a Senior Purchasing Manager, you will oversee the procurement of food, beverages, and supplies to ensure smooth operations at the University of Oklahoma. You will maintain vendor relationships, negotiate pricing, and manage inventory to support the venue’s hospitality services. Your goal will be to ensure cost‑effective purchasing while maintaining high‑quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and manage vendor relationships to ensure the best pricing and service
Oversee the purchasing of food, beverages, and supplies for the venue
Monitor inventory levels and adjust orders accordingly
Ensure compliance with food safety, storage, and handling regulations
Work closely with operations and culinary teams to anticipate needs
Track expenses and identify cost‑saving opportunities
Implement procurement best practices to enhance efficiency
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, business, or related field preferred
5+ years of experience in purchasing, procurement, or supply chain management
Proficiency in inventory management and procurement software
Strong negotiation and vendor management skills
Experience managing budgets and controlling costs
