Business Development Manager — Chicago Chicago’s commercial construction scene is all about who you know, how you show up, and the reputation you build. Our partners in the
high-end interiors and hospitality GC space
are creating a brand-new BD role — not to “babysit” leads, but to
actually lead
the market presence and relationship strategy.
If you’re someone who loves walking into a room and already knows half the people in it (and plans to meet the rest), this is the type of environment where you’ll thrive.
What you’ll actually be doing:
Building and deepening relationships with developers, brokers, architects, reps, design firms, and owners
Spotting opportunities early and getting your team in the room before the RFP goes public
Being the connector — the person who sees where deals could happen
Helping shape the firm’s market presence and voice in Chicago
Using CRM and data to track pipeline, momentum, and where to push next
Collaborating with leadership (not reporting into a black hole)
You’ll be a great fit if you:
Have a strong network in
commercial construction, interiors, real estate, or architecture
Know how to open doors the
right
way
Have 5+ years of relationship-driven BD (not order taking)
Enjoy the business side of building physical spaces — not just talking about them
