Monday to Friday (Hybrid) Atlantic Group is hiring a Senior Cost Accountant in Camden County, NJ for our client. This hybrid role focuses on improving financial accuracy and operational efficiency in manufacturing. You’ll analyze costs, manage inventory accounting, and report variances while partnering with operations and supply chain teams to drive profitability. This position offers a fast track to a management role for motivated professionals with strong cost and inventory expertise. Responsibilities as the Senior Cost Accountant:
Cost Analysis:
Evaluate manufacturing and production costs, comparing standard to actual results and identifying key variance drivers. Inventory Management:
Maintain accurate inventory records, manage reserves, and ensure proper reconciliations in line with GAAP. Reporting & Insights:
Prepare detailed cost and profitability reports with actionable recommendations for management. Process Improvement:
Streamline and document cost accounting and inventory procedures to enhance efficiency and accuracy. Collaboration:
Partner with Operations, Supply Chain, and Finance to develop KPIs and optimize cost control strategies. Qualifications for the Senior Cost Accountant:
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting required. Certification:
CPA required. Experience:
5+ years of accounting experience, including cost accounting in manufacturing, with public accounting background preferred. Technical Skills:
Proficient in SAP and Microsoft Excel with strong analytical and modeling capabilities. Industry Knowledge:
Deep understanding of GAAP, cost accounting principles, inventory valuation, and internal controls. Skills & Attributes:
Detail-oriented and analytical professional with strong communication, problem-solving, and teamwork skills, and a continuous improvement mindset. Application Notice:
