Accounting Manager – Billing & Collections

Job Details Report directly to the CFO/Controller and oversee billing and collections functions across the firm. Manage a team of Billing Clerks, an e‑Billing Coordinator, an Accounts Receivable Clerk, and a Collections Analyst. Key responsibilities include client invoicing, complex billing scenarios, e‑billing processes, accounts receivable monitoring, month‑end close, ledgers reconciliation, financial statement preparation, budgeting, forecasting, and audit support.
Responsibilities
Billing & Collections Lead:
Monthly client invoicing, complex billing scenarios, e‑billing processes, accounts receivable monitoring, and mentoring of billing staff.
Accounting & Financial Reporting:
Month‑end close, general ledger reconciliation, financial statements, budgeting, forecasting, audits, and partnership tax returns.
Collaboration & Leadership:
Provide cross‑department support, guide your team, and serve as a trusted resource for attorneys and professional staff.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration (CPA a plus).
5+ years of accounting experience in a professional services environment.
Strong leadership, communication, and analytical skills.
Proficiency in Elite, Microsoft Office, and accounting/office software.
Highly organized, detail‑oriented, and proactive.
