If you're a Registered Nurse looking for a new opportunity to work in a fast-paced, professional environment where your talent contributes to changing people’s lives, then we want to talk to you. This position requires collaborating with physicians, other medical providers, and patients by providing expert care and service for fertility treatments.
We are seeking a part time weekend OR/PACU RN to join our Fairfax, VA team. The schedule is every other weekend Sat/Sun 6-2:30pm or 6:30-3pm. May require 1-2 holidays per year
How You'll Contribute:
We always do whatever it takes, even if it isn’t specifically our “job.” In general, the ASC RNis responsible for:
Utilize advanced assessment skills to identify patient care problems, formulate patient care plans
Perform initial preoperative assessment, develops a plan of care, and explains the subsequent phases of surgery
Provide comfort measures and psychological support to the patient and family members
Demonstrate proficiency in caring for patients who have received various types of anesthesia or conscious sedation
Administer medications by direct intravenous and other routes as directed
Provide patient education
What You'll Bring:
The skills and education we need are:
Active RN license
Current BLS and ACLS certification
2-3 years clinical experience in Operating/Procedure Room or PACU experience strongly preferred
Strong technical and clinical assessment skills
Ability to access, input, and retrieve information from a computer
Ability to work independently and demonstrate good judgment
Ability to communicate accurately and concisely
