High-Skills Network Technical Lead
Position Summary
As the High-Skills Network Technical Lead, your main responsibility is to ensure the ongoing support and reliability of all components within the LSEG ecosystem, including platforms, networks, applications, and services. You will provide third‑line support to the Network Products and Services functions, ensuring operational stability and adaptability of the LSEG global network. Your key focus will be on creating and maintaining software automation that improves the reliability and availability of digital platforms and their software delivery pipelines.
Responsibilities
Translate business requirements into technical requirements, ensuring alignment with infrastructure and network capacity needs.
Complete relevant reporting documentation, ensuring it adheres to internal and external standards.
Collaborate closely with other business areas, scheduling and coordinating capacity and network upgrades to meet service level objectives.
Lead upgrades when vital, coordinating efforts with internal teams and third parties.
Build accurate documentation and monitor system performance to contribute optimally to business activities and continuous improvement.
Support the deployment of emergent engineering patterns across development teams.
Coordinate design work within the infrastructure and network domain to create solutions.
Design, build, and maintain systems, software, and applications across various domains, achieving the highest quality outcomes.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in an IT‑related field is essential.
Previous roles in architecture or engineering are valuable.
Significant experience in technology‑focused positions.
Extensive knowledge of routing and switching protocols, with a preference for CCIE or CCNP.
Proven years of experience in network products and services, ideally working with Cisco, Juniper, and Arista technologies.
Expertise spanning LAN, WAN, HSRP, NAT, MPLS, VPN, GRE, BGP, and OSPF.
Excellent knowledge of network packet analysis and packet capture tools.
Experience with Data Centre Networking, including Software‑Defined Networking (SDN), Cisco ACI, VxLAN, and related technologies.
Understanding cloud environments and knowledge of network security, including standard processes.
Familiarity with load balancing technologies, TCP/IP, and multicast in internet environments.
Proficiency in Python and Ansible.
Strong spoken and written English language skills, combined with client management abilities.
Preferred Skills: Knowledge of multicast concepts, including IGMP, RP, and PIM.
Familiarity with low‑latency technologies commonly deployed in the financial sector.
Proficiency in required Service Management processes, ideally with ITIL knowledge.
Exposure to the financial sector and its associated technologies.
