Enterprise Voice Engineer II – Scott AFB, IL (Contract) Join as an Enterprise Voice Engineer II for the Leidos Digital Modernization Sector/Global Solutions Management-Operations II (GSMO‑II) contract, supporting the Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA).

Position Summary

Perform sustainment, maintenance, problem and change management services to ensure secure, reliable, uninterrupted availability of DISA Voice Services.

U.S. citizenship and an active Secret clearance are required.

Primary Responsibilities

Perform engineering tasks to maintain a large, complex, highly resilient IP voice and video communications infrastructure.

Manage, configure, troubleshoot and assure service supporting all aspects of a voice, video, and data network; document and diagram network components.

Perform system maintenance, capacity planning, configuration change actions and documentation.

Configure and implement calling search spaces, route plans, route partitions, route lists, and device profiles.

Configure Cisco or Juniper routing and switching devices and support distributed firewall infrastructure.

Contribute to technical policy, work instructions and reporting for an enterprise IP telephony network.

Analyze and resolve complex technical problems using SIP signaling and call flows.

Assess remote site registration, signaling, and media problems.

Validate change requests and ensure accuracy.

Perform fault analysis and configuration of voice subscribers, call handlers, and call routing rules, including Cisco and Juniper systems.

Basic Qualifications

DoD 8750 certification at IAT level II or Security+ CE or equivalent.

Experience with Cisco, Avaya, or Oracle voice platforms including CUCM, Cisco Unity, CUBE, Oracle SBC, and Avaya Aura Application Server.

Expertise in SIP internetworking signaling and call flow.

Advanced fault analysis experience for routing, switching, security, and large‑scale voice implementations.

Active Secret security clearance.

Preferred Qualifications

Knowledge of SRTP, G.711/G.729 codecs, and DTMF.

Experience with Cisco Unified Communications Manager, Avaya Aura soft switches, Oracle SBCs, and other voice media gateway appliances.

Experience supporting distributed firewall infrastructure, IPSec MPLS VPN, BGP routing, and QoS classification and prioritization.

Familiarity with IPSec implementation and troubleshooting.

Required Education and Experience

Bachelor’s degree with 2‑4 years of relevant experience, or Master’s degree with less than 2 years of relevant experience (or equivalent combination).

Additional Information Pay Range: $57,850.00 – $104,575.00.
