Job Description :
We are seeking a friendly, professional, and organized Receptionist to join our team. The Receptionist serves as the first point of contact for visitors, residents, families, and staff, ensuring a welcoming and efficient front desk operation.
Key Responsibilities :
Answer telephones, determine the nature of calls, and direct callers to the appropriate individual or department. Receive and deliver messages or transfer calls to voicemail when necessary. Provide accurate information about the facility, including directions, addresses, and general inquiries. Operate the paging and telephone systems as required. Assist residents without phones by routing calls through the nursing unit. Greet visitors and direct them to the appropriate office or resident room. Offer beverages to visitors waiting for administrative personnel, when appropriate. Ensure guests and visitors follow facility rules and maintain security protocols. Monitor front door for elopement-risk residents and oversee visitor sign-in / access processes. Maintain accurate resident and staff directories, including emergency contacts and departmental extensions. Maintain communication with families and residents while fostering positive relationships with medical professionals and other health-related organizations. Track and manage the presence of sales representatives within the facility. Strictly adhere to all HIPAA regulations and confidentiality requirements.
Requirements:
Must read, write, speak, and understand English proficiently. Ability to make independent decisions when needed. Willingness to adopt new methods and practices. Proficiency with computers, office systems, and other equipment. Minimum 1 year of experience; Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF) experience preferred.
