This position is part of the Charge Cord team and is located in Warren, Ohio or Troy, Michigan.
Summary: Develop new Aptiv Electrification products and implement technologies while supporting/coordinating customer quotes, and design transfers to production team(s), for Electrified vehicles.
Responsibilities: Lead design / development of electrified products and electrical system for North American OEM's
Coordinate design and design change activities for various electrified vehicle customers
Work closely to Product development teams to align Aptiv technology with customer needs and business pursuit
Lead implementation of the latest technologies into Aptiv product designs
Exploit Aptiv product differentiators that provides a competitive advantage (technology, cost, quality, services)
Leverage Aptiv organizations and products into proposals for new business opportunities
Work with Aptiv sales and Business Lines to ensure business objectives are met
Create and deliver technically strong customer presentations
Support, and work closely, with Aptiv Electrification teams in other regions
Available to monitor and participate in harness and customer launch activities
Ensure compliance with customer specific requirements
Must Haves (Basic Qualifications):
Min. Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (Electrical or Mechanical preferred)
2+ years' experience in automotive and/or wiring system roles
1+ years' experience in a team environment
1+ years' experience in Electrical Schematics/Vehicle mechanizations understanding
Nice to Haves:
Excellent Communication skills - written and verbal
Sales or Program Management experience
Electronics experience
Multi-tasking team player with a hands-on approach
Exposure to manufacturing environment
CAD experience
