We are currently seeking a Manufacturing Department Manager to lead operations in Large Power Transformer production. This role requires a strong commitment to safety-first leadership, operational excellence, and continuous improvement. The ideal candidate will drive performance, collaborate across teams, and support strategic initiatives that enhance efficiency and reliability. How You’ll Make An Impact
Safety and Compliance: Ensure adherence to OSHA and Siemens Energy safety standards, promote a strong safety culture, and maintain full compliance with EHS regulations through training, audits, and risk assessments.
Operations Management: Oversee daily manufacturing activities, coordinate production schedules, and monitor key performance indicators (safety, quality, delivery, cost, inventory) to meet customer commitments.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with Quality, Engineering, Supply Chain, and Project Management to resolve production issues and align operations with business goals.
Leadership and Team Development: Manage and mentor production staff, support workforce planning, and foster a high-performing, collaborative team environment.
Continuous Improvement: Apply Lean, Six Sigma, TPM, and other methodologies to eliminate bottlenecks, improve productivity, reduce waste, and enhance process efficiency.
Budget and Cost Control: Support budget planning, control production costs, and identify cost-saving opportunities while maintaining safety and quality standards.
What You Bring
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in electrical, Electronic, Mechanical, Mechatronic, or Industrial Engineering.
Experience:
Minimum 10 years in manufacturing, including at least 5 years in a leadership or people management role; experience in transformer manufacturing or heavy electrical equipment is preferred.
Technical Expertise:
Skilled in production planning, Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma (certification preferred), TPM, OEE, and continuous improvement; strong knowledge of OSHA and EHS compliance.
Systems Knowledge:
Familiarity with ERP systems such as SAP or HANA, and experience with quality control, root cause analysis, and corrective actions.
Leadership & Soft Skills:
Proven ability to lead and develop high-performing teams; strong communication, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities; collaborative and results-driven.
Language & Mobility:
Fluent in English with willingness to travel occasionally and relocate for the position.
