We are partnering with our client, a respected name in industrial metals processing, to identify a

Controller

who can own the company’s financial operations and act as a key advisor to the executive team. As the Controller, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing all accounting, finance, and human resources functions. Reporting directly to the executive team, you will manage a team, ensure compliance with GAAP standards, and contribute to the strategic direction of the company. Your expertise will drive accurate financial reporting, strategic decision-making, and efficient operations. Responsibilities

Manage all accounting and finance needs, while also overseeing human resources. Manage accounts receivables and process all payments. Review all payables. Review and approve all month-end account reconciliations and journal entries. Prepare monthly financial statements and reporting packages for each of five divisions of the company. Monthly financial statement review and analysis. Communicate findings to ownership and advise. Ensure accounting policies and financial statements comply with GAAP. Calculate and file all monthly and quarterly SALT. Cash flow management and forecasting. (All treasury functions) Supervise, coach, and provide feedback to accounting staff and human resources personnel. This includes personnel at all entities. Perform job cost analysis and create pricing models as needed. Develop and manage internal controls in relation to financial reporting and data flow. Perform ad hoc data analysis for any issues or situations that result in a financial impact to the company. Review and approval of all contracts. Identify related assets or liabilities as appropriate. Oversee monthly and yearly close process and consolidations as needed. Manage annual financial statement review and employee benefit plan audit. Oversee yearly liability insurance negotiations. Manage banking relationships. Manage all company compliance needs at the state and local level. Payroll for all entities for both hourly and salary personnel. Ad Hoc reporting and analysis as required. Oversee billing procedures. 401k administration. In depth analysis of any other business ventures if presented. Other duties as requested such as assisting with estate planning needs such as business valuations etc. Assist sales as needed and provide direction and oversight. Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA preferred. 7+ years of progressive experience in accounting and finance roles. Strong understanding of GAAP standards and financial reporting. Proficiency in treasury management, cash flow forecasting, and analysis. Excellent leadership skills with a track record of managing teams. Seniority level
