Base pay range:
$120,000.00/yr - $135,000.00/yr
Established civil engineering firm headquartered in Columbus, OH looking for a Senior Civil Engineer with commercial project experience to join their growing team in Columbus, OH.
Our firm has experienced exponential growth over the decades since its inception as a small upstart land survey firm. Strategic additions of service disciplines have enabled us to effectively meet the evolving needs of its clients. Today, we offer a comprehensive array of services including land surveying, civil engineering, planning, landscape architecture, transportation engineering, geographic information systems, environmental and cultural resources analysis, construction services, infrastructure evaluation, urban design, and railroad engineering.
The sectors served include Local, State, and Federal Government; Commercial and Industrial enterprises; Higher Education and K-12 institutions; Healthcare facilities; Hospitality industry; Railroad operations; Residential developments; and Utilities and Energy sectors.
Responsibilities
Provide leadership to the project team, driving creativity and innovation to meet client needs and address design and construction challenges.
Collaborate with internal departments, including transportation, environmental, and stormwater teams, to ensure comprehensive project solutions.
Coordinate the planning and organization of workflow, offering technical oversight for various project components. Assist in preparing design calculations, details, and specifications, while also supporting plan reviews and modifications.
Demonstrate excellent time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and meet tight deadlines.
Foster a team‑oriented and action‑driven approach.
Identify and pursue business opportunities with a keen eye for growth.
Build and maintain strong, long‑lasting relationships with clients and stakeholders.
Effectively coach and mentor team members, fostering professional development and success.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, with a minimum of eight years of experience in civil land development.
At least three years of experience as a lead designer on projects.
Proficient in AutoCAD Land Desktop or similar design software, with demonstrated capability to conduct quality reviews.
Registered Professional Engineer (PE) in Ohio or the ability to obtain registration shortly after starting; additional state registrations are a plus.
