What to Expect
The Process Engineering Technician for the Production Control Team is responsible for managing work requests, ensuring the timely delivery of high-quality products, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to develop and implement efficient manufacturing solutions. This role requires technical expertise in machinery operation, welding, painting, as well as proficiency in software tools such as SolidWorks, AutoCAD and Excel. The Process Engineering Technician will play a key role in maintaining a clean and safe work environment, upholding customer service standards, and identifying opportunities for process improvement. Additionally, the Process Engineering Tech will also be managing system configurations for material flow, part changeovers on the Assembly Line as and when the factory requires it.
What You'll Do
Identify and communicate improvement opportunities to Supervisor, Engineering, and Operations Leadership teams and execute special projects or assignments as directed
Perform part cutovers on the assembly line both physically and systematically, ensuring accuracy and minimal disruption to production
Systems Support - Provide real-time support with factory systems such as WARP, MFS, and MOS for material flow, routing, and transaction accuracy
Configure systems and adjust lineside setups to improve part presentation, ergonomic access, and workflow efficiency, while preparing diagrams to illustrate routing,layouts,and equipment utilization
Apply lean manufacturing practices including 5S, JIT production,Kanban,work measurement,and problem-solving methodologies to optimize manufacturing and material flow efficiency
Build, weld, paint, and spray-paint racks or equipment, assembling components using hand tools such as wrenches, screwdrivers,and hammers
Operate Forklifts, Scissor Lifts, EPJ, and Flatbeds proficiently for work-related activities
What You'll Bring
Degree in Industrial, Mechanical, Manufacturing Technology, or a related field, or equivalent experience
Relevant Work Experience: 2-3 years of relevant work experience in a manufacturing or production environment, preferably in a process technician or similar role
Technical Skills: Proficiency in Excel,SolidWorks,and AutoCAD is preferred
Familiarity with WARP, MFS, MOS, or similar manufacturing/logistics systems
Handle label printing and participate in special projects
Experience operating welding equipment (MIG, TIG, Arc) and should be able to weld
Proficiency with cutting machines (plasma cutters, band saws) / drilling machine / grinding machines / hydraulic press brakes / manual benders / spray guns for paint
Physical Requirements
Ability to perform physically demanding work for extended periods of time, up to 12 hours a day
Ability to stand and walk for up to 12 hours/day, including over varied and uneven terrain
Frequently and repetitively, lift, push and carry up to 35 lbs., including the ability to carry 20 lbs. up and down stairs
Frequently and repetitively, bend, lift and reach to install parts
Stoop, lay, bend, reach, squat, kneel, crouch, twist and crawl for extended periods of time, including up to 12 hours/day
Climb and maintain balance on ladders, scaffolding or other high structures
Ability to find issues in a work process and receive safety signals using sight, touch, and hearing
Wearing Personal Protective Equipment, including but not limited to: safety glasses, safety shoes, bump caps,arm protection, and adhering to prescribed safety rules and guidelines
