Senior Principal Systems Configuration Management Lead . What You’ll Do
Develop, implement, and maintain configuration management plans, policies, and procedures. Lead and oversee configuration identification, control, auditing, status accounting, and verification processes. Ensure that configuration control is applied to complex engineering changes within the project lifecycle. Coordinate with various departments including engineering, production, and quality assurance to plan and manage product baselines and documentation. Conduct configuration audits to verify conformance to requirements and facilitate the resolution of discrepancies. Provide expert guidance and support on configuration management best practices to project teams. Maintain configuration management databases and tools, ensuring the integrity and security of configuration data. Lead training and mentoring initiatives of other configuration analysts. Prepare detailed reports and present findings to management and programs. Engage daily with programs on matters of configuration and change management, conduct and lead Configuration Control Boards. Location
Greater Baltimore, MD area (on-site). Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in a STEM discipline and 8 years of experience, or Master’s degree and 6 years, or PhD and 4 years. Experience with configuration management standards and practices (e.g., ISO, ANSI, CMII). Proficient in using configuration management software tools and systems. Exceptional analytical and problem‑solving skills. Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with cross‑functional teams. U.S. citizenship required. Current active DoD Secret clearance with ability to obtain and maintain TS/SCI with polygraph prior to start. Preferred Qualifications
Current active DoD TS/SCI with polygraph clearance. Experience with Teamcenter, CPLM PLM tool, Enovia, Windchill, and/or Costpoint or similar tools. Domain knowledge of configuration management standards such as MIL‑HDBK‑61A, EIA‑649B, or EIA‑649‑1. Experience with AS9100 or ISO9001 requirements, standards, and compliance issues. Awareness of specialty engineering, modeling and testing tools such as MATLAB, Python, Cypress, Cadence Assura, or Siemens Calibre. Salary
Primary level salary range: $137,400.00 – $206,000.00. Benefits
