The Role This position will lead a team of buyers and expeditors, ensuring that all purchasing, vendor interactions, and expediting activities are executed efficiently, ethically, and in alignment with project requirements and corporate standards. The Procurement Lead will play a central role in the company’s supply chain transformation—building robust procurement practices that deliver value, quality, and reliability to every project.

Responsibilities
Lead a team of Buyers and Expeditors responsible for sourcing, bidding, and procurement of materials, equipment, and services.
Develop and execute procurement strategies aligned with project scope, schedules, budgets, and client requirements.
Prepare and issue Requests for Quotation (RFQs) and manage the bidding process, ensuring transparency and compliance with company and client procedures.
Coordinate technical and commercial clarifications between suppliers, engineering, and project management.
Conduct bid evaluations (TBE/CBE) and lead vendor selection and award recommendations.
Negotiate pricing, terms, and conditions to achieve best overall value while mitigating commercial risks.
Oversee purchase order (PO) issuance, tracking, and change management through the ERP system.
Manage supplier relationships throughout the procurement and delivery process, ensuring adherence to contractual and quality requirements.
Supervise and support expediting activities to ensure vendors meet fabrication and delivery schedules.
Maintain accurate and timely procurement status reporting (Procurement Status Report – PSR) for all active projects.
Ensure all procurement activities comply with the company’s Supply Chain Code of Conduct, legal and ethical standards, and segregation of duties requirements.
Support prequalification of suppliers and ensure consistent use of approved vendor lists.
Collaborate with Engineering, QA/QC, Logistics, and Project Controls to align procurement with broader supply chain and project objectives.
Promote continuous improvement in procurement efficiency, automation, and cost competitiveness.
Mentor and develop procurement team members, setting performance targets and supporting professional growth.

Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, or related field.
CIPS certification or industry equivalent preferred.
8–12 years of progressive procurement experience, including 3+ years in a supervisory or lead role.
Strong background in EPC, industrial, or project-based procurement environments.
Deep understanding of RFQ processes, bid evaluations, PO management, and supplier negotiations.
Familiarity with expediting practices, supplier documentation requirements, and material delivery coordination.
Experience using ERP systems (Oracle or equivalent) and procurement dashboards (Power BI or similar).
Proven ability to manage supplier relationships and drive on‑time, on‑budget performance.
Strong communication, negotiation, and problem‑solving skills.
Ability to work collaboratively with multi‑disciplinary project teams in a fast‑paced environment.
Strategic sourcing and category management.
RFQ and bid process leadership.
Contract negotiation and commercial acumen.
