The Department of Orthopaedic Surgery at UC Irvine seeks board eligible/certified Orthopaedic Spine Surgeons for the Health Sciences Clinical Professor series and the Clinical X Series at all ranks. Applicants must hold an MD or MD/Ph.D. and be eligible for California Medical Licensure. Successful candidates will: Teach orthopaedic residents and medical students Demonstrate professional excellence and academic achievement Perform University and public service Participate in call at our Level 1 Trauma Center UCI Orthopedic Surgery provides clinical services throughout Orange County and is expanding services at a new medical campus in Irvine. Qualifications
Basic qualifications (required at time of application) • MD or MD/Ph.D. degree(s) • Eligible for California Licensure • Orthopaedic Board eligible or certified Additional criteria for the Clinical X Series • Demonstrated capabilities in spinal surgery • Notable research, teaching, service, and creative professional activities • Exceptional teaching excellence Additional criteria for the Health Sciences Clinical Professor Series • Experience teaching fellows, residents, and medical students • Provide patient care • Contribute to scholarly activities • Provide public and University service Application Requirements
