Brand Image Manager Cartier New York Job mission The Brand Image Manager will be part of the Creative Communications Team in the Branding Management Pillar of the North American Market. This role will help elevate Cartier’s brand equity and local relevancy through locally produced and adapted assets, cross-functionally.
From advertising campaigns to experiential collaterals, the Brand Image Manager will oversee creative on a large variety of touchpoints, both traditional and digital, while maintaining and upholding brand standards from concept to final production.
The ideal candidate for this role is a designer or creative focused on the high-quality execution of multi-channel communication projects, including graphic design, print production, digital formatting and video editing.
Main accountabilities/objective of the position
KEY RESPONSIBILITY 1: IMAGE & VISUAL DESIGN
Help to further integrate the Creative Communications team within the organization by successfully carrying out briefs from both MarCom and Commercial teams transversally.
Identifyand develop the right visual treatments, executions and tools to elevate the brand equity, reinforce local branding and market relevance by ensuring consistent messaging and tone.
Continually seek to enhance existing materials, with a channel-agnostic approach, thriving for excellence
Leverage all client and stakeholder touchpoints as an opportunity to storytell and engage, while upholding the Maison standards
Strategize and propose creative concepts and innovative formats in line with the editorial calendar, BEAP, brand voice and legacy.
Manage and provide feedback to HQ on creative briefings, campaign development, asset distribution process and guidelines.
Establish best practices across Creative, Content and Brand Voice at the global level; seek enhancements in process, creative and engagement.
Support the Organization with consistent market insights surrounding creative trends, competitive strategy, and audience behavior.
KEY RESPONSIBILITY 2: CREATIVE ADAPTATION & INTEGRATION Oversee Advertising Campaigns Adaptation
With the help of the Junior Graphic Designer, oversee the adaption of international campaigns and other creative assets for the North American advertising department (creative choices, resizing and layout optimization)
Carry out briefs received from the advertising media teams for both online and offline channels (mocking up OOH and Print units, and adapt online display ads)
Keep a client centric and highly adaptative approach to drive engagement and conversions, while always delivery high-quality materials on par with the Cartier codes
Adapt and scale assets according to the media guidelines: resize and redesign the graphic design elements to best operate in the context of the platform
Innovate and push the boundaries of advertising by proposing new formats, whether immersive or interactive, and novel channels
Event and Client Experience collaterals
Help create holistic brand experiences collaterals and visual identity across Client Treatment, Events, PR and High-Jewelry teams
From invitations, save-the-date and menus, to stationery, gifting and client itineraries, both digital and printed
Proposing flexible yet high quality designs and templates, for a high volume of deliverables to ensure consistency across regions, and with other touchpoints and 360 activations
Anticipate seasonal and recurring needs and proactively propose creative solutions
Provide feedback on existing materials and executions
Support the North America DTC & Email program
Support the Email and Direct-to-Consumer teams with layouts, images and resizing, continually enhancing the templates
Build templates and format e-blast in partnership with eCRM and content teams
Design of print collateral such as mailers, press materials, invitations etc.
Boutique Façades and Special Hoardings
Mock-up and execute large format outdoor creatives
Brainstorm surprising and out-the-box ideas, always keeping the Maison’s codes in mind
Build PPT templates and format documents
Provide high quality PowerPoint templates and layout guidance across Marketing and Communications departments
Create and design high-level strategic presentations for all business functions including c-suite executives and leadership
Internal Branding Advocate
Educate teams internally about Branding best practices
Support L&T with training material
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES 3: BRAND IDENTITY GUARDIAN Brand codes and visual identity
Demonstrate a deep understanding of the Cartier visual identity and codes, provide guidance to other teams when needed
Ingest, organize, and distribute all visual assets
Gather and update essential resources like logos, fonts, colors, style guides and visual guidelines
Advertising and brand guidelines
Collect feedback and collaborate on new guideline creations with central teams
Deep understanding of the luxury landscape, evolving consumer journeys and digital ecosystems. Ongoing competitor benchmark and knowledge of industry best-practices.
Organization and Planning skills
Meet project timelines through good management of workflow and ability to prioritize.
Communicate with Creative Communications Content Team proactively about workload, project status and issues that arise to determine solutions.
QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor’s degree in design, communications or advertising
5–6 years of experience as a designer or hands‑on creative in the luxury industry, (in‑house, agency or established studio)
Extensive understanding of print production, from high‑end stationery to large scale billboards
Strong knowledge of digital advertising landscape, contextual UX/UI design (web, display, search and social)
Fluency in Figma and Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, Premiere Pro etc.)
Video editing capabilities and 3D / GCI knowledge are a plus
QUALITIES
