Construction Project Manager, Senior
Audubon is currently seeking a Construction Project Manager, Senior to join our team in our Off Site Office. The Construction Project Manager, Senior leads the execution of midstream EPC and self‑perform construction projects across compressor stations, gas plants, metering stations, and cryogenic facilities. Whether based in our Houston headquarters or deployed to field sites, the ideal candidate will own the project from start to finish, managing construction operations and driving performance across safety, quality, cost, schedule, and people.
This is a core delivery role. Construction superintendents, craft, safety, quality, and other field personnel will report to this position on a project basis. The role requires the candidate to work directly with estimating, engineering, procurement, and controls in a matrix environment while being the one responsible for making the job happen.
Primary Responsibilities
Full project ownership from NTP through mechanical completion and closeout
Lead all field‑facing construction activities across civil, structural, mechanical, piping, and electrical disciplines
Directly manage and coordinate project Superintendents, Quality Managers, Safety personnel, and craft crews
Drive execution plans, 3‑week lookaheads, and hold field leaders accountable to scope, budget, and schedule
Collaborate with Project Controls and Scheduling to track earned value, drive forecasts, and adjust plans as needed
Interface with clients, vendors, and internal stakeholders to resolve issues and maintain forward momentum
Own the jobsite culture—lead with urgency, focus on productivity, and hold the team to high standards
Ensure strict adherence to safety and quality expectations across all project phases
Participate in pre‑construction planning, constructability reviews, and kickoff meetings
Contribute to post‑project lessons learned and continuous improvement initiatives
Experience and Skill Requirements
HS Diploma or GED required, Bachelor's degree preferred
10+ years of hands‑on construction experience with increasing responsibility
Proven background managing complex projects in midstream oil & gas or heavy industrial sectors
Strong leadership in self‑perform environments (civil, structural, mechanical, E&I)
Adept at navigating matrix organizations and leading cross‑functional project teams
Comfortable managing both field operations and office‑driven project requirements
Excellent communication skills—able to manage client expectations and internal teams alike
Willingness to travel and/or relocate to field sites as needed
PMP certification or Construction Management degree is a plus, but not required
