As a manager of Technology Facilities, Hosting & Services, you will be responsible for managing and optimizing the enterprise data center and manufacturing environment to support core IT infrastructure and business applications. This position oversees low voltage cabling, power distribution, and facility operations, ensuring all systems deliver high availability, resilience, and performance. The ideal candidate combines deep technical expertise with strong project management and vendor coordination skills, driving operational excellence across a hybrid enterprise infrastructure landscape. A background in structured cabling, and electrical systems, and proven experience managing large-scale infrastructure projects from concept through execution. Summary Of Key Responsibilities
Data Center Facility Operations – Manage the daily operations of enterprise data center environments, including power, cooling, cabling, and physical security systems. Oversee preventive and corrective maintenance to ensure continuous uptime and compliance with enterprise SLAs. Monitor facility KPIs such as Power Usage Effectiveness (PUE), capacity utilization, and energy efficiency. Low Voltage & Structured Cabling
Design, oversee, and maintain structured cabling infrastructure (fiber and copper) supporting data, voice, and security systems. Ensure all cabling installations adhere to enterprise and industry standards (TIA/EIA, BICSI, NEC). Maintain accurate cable plant documentation, rack elevations, and as-built diagrams. Power & Electrical Infrastructure
Manage all aspects of electrical distribution including UPS, PDUs, switchgear, generators, and redundant power configurations. Partner with electrical engineers to plan capacity expansions, load balancing, and failover testing. Oversee power audits, preventive maintenance schedules, and lifecycle replacement programs. Project & Program Management
Lead infrastructure projects such as data center expansions, hardware refreshes, and modernization initiatives. Develop project plans, budgets, and timelines; coordinate cross-functional teams including network, server, facilities, and vendor partners. Track progress, manage risks, and ensure all work complies with enterprise change management and governance standards. Governance, Compliance & Safety
Ensure data center operations comply with corporate IT standards, environmental health and safety regulations, and audit requirements (ISO, SOC2, Uptime). Manage documentation and participate in compliance assessments and disaster recovery exercises. Champion continuous improvement through operational process refinement and automation initiatives. Vendor & Stakeholder Management
Manage contracts and service delivery with third-party vendors for electrical, mechanical, and cabling services. Partner with IT, Security, and Facilities teams to ensure alignment between data center operations and enterprise objectives. Communicate project updates, performance metrics, and capacity plans to leadership and technical stakeholders. Required Knowledge, Skills And Abilities
Deep understanding of data center mechanical, electrical, and cabling systems. Strong leadership, vendor management, and stakeholder communication skills. Ability to read technical drawings, schematics, and as-built documentation. Proficiency with DCIM tools, CAD drawings, and project tracking software (e.g., MS Project, Smartsheet). Working knowledge of HVAC systems, electrical infrastructure in a data center environment. Vendor management experience - Electrician, Plumbing (gas & Water), HVAC, Fire Safety, UPS, Generator, Network Cabling. Familiar with DCIM (Sunbird) and network cabling standards. Qualifications
Education: Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, Facilities Management, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience). Experience: 7+ years of experience in data center facilities management or critical infrastructure operations; strong background in low voltage cabling, power systems, and project management.
