CM/GC PROJECT ENGINEER

AMEC LLC . The GC Project Engineer assists the team in obtaining, evaluating, coordinating, and distributing the necessary information and authorization to deliver the project on time, within budget and to the specified quality. Responsibilities
Document management and control: identify, save, archive, and distribute project documentation (plans, sketches, specifications), maintaining files and documents, hard copies and electronic, in a detailed manner. Maintain and update Contract Document Logs. Draft, submit, and track all RFIs and distribute as appropriate. Prepare and maintain the submittal and procurement log. Comprehend customer needs and consistently look for ways to support them. Complete quantity take-offs and estimates as needed. Solicit and obtain bids from subcontractors, vendors, and material suppliers. Schedule projects and meet planned deadlines. Analyze cost tracking. Have working knowledge of liens, contracts, retainage, etc. Participate in weekly project meetings, giving updates on progress and budget, taking notes and distributing minutes afterward. Read, analyze, and interpret drawings. Build business relationships with clients and vendors. Perform miscellaneous duties as required. Qualifications
College degree, preferred with major in Construction Management or Civil Engineering. Ability to read, understand, and interpret construction contract documents, drawings, specifications, and scopes of work. Specialized knowledge of Procore, AutoCAD, HCSS, Agtek, and Microsoft Office (including MS Project). Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Seniority level
