Job Responsibilities
The manager is responsible for managing and supervising the litigation docket team, providing guidance and training.
Establish and maintain docketing policies, procedures and best practices.
Ensure compliance with court rules, local procedures, and firm policies regarding docketing.
Monitor and review the entry of litigation deadlines, court dates and related events into the firm’s docketing software.
Ensure the accuracy and integrity of docket data and reports distributed to attorneys and staff.
Respond promptly and professionally to information requests from attorneys and professional staff regarding docketed dates, agency and court rules and procedures.
Stay current with changes in court rules and procedures, updating processes as needed.
Serve as the primary point of contact for litigation docketing issues and escalation.
Assist with development of department policies and procedures and innovation related projects.
Other duties as assigned to fully meet the requirements of the position.
Qualifications
Extensive docketing and case management experience in a law firm docket department required.
Strong leadership and team management skills.
Proficiency in utilizing docketing software (i.e. eDockets, CompuLaw, CourtAlert) for calendaring and reporting.
Extensive knowledge of federal and state court rules, procedures, e‑filing procedures and technologies.
