Job Description
Pay Range: $55hr - $60hr
The WebMethods Developer will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining integration solutions using Software AG webMethods.
The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience across multiple components of webMethods, including interface development, MFT events, and API integration, with strong technical and communication skills to collaborate with customers and internal teams.
Responsibilities
Work with SAG webMethods components such as IS, MWS, Designer, Adaptor, UM/JMS/Broker, Active Transfer, and Terracotta Cache.
Develop and maintain interfaces, MFT events, and APIs.
Handle real-time and batch file transfers, large file handling, topic/queue integration, and various file formats (Flat File, JSON, XML, IDOC).
Manage MFT events including post and scheduled events, virtual folders, passwordless connectivity, scripting, and success/failure alerts.
Design and test APIs using tools such as SOAP UI and Postman; work with SSL certificates, ports, and REST protocols.
Collaborate with departments or customers on project status, proposals, and technical issues (software design, maintenance, firewall, NSG requests, certificate issues).
Perform unit, end-to-end, performance, and smoke testing.
Prepare and maintain project documentation including low-level design, unit test plans, runbooks, and deployment plans.
Support integration development and warranty support post go-live.
Work with API Gateway, CI/CD tools, and Cloud platforms (Azure or equivalent).
Apply knowledge of SSH/RSA/PGP keys, Unix commands, and security configurations in integration solutions.
Follow Agile and Sprint methodologies.
Handle A2A and B2B integrations and batch file transfers.
Stay updated and adaptable to new technologies.
Requirements / Must Have
3 to 6 years of experience in Middleware development using Software AG webMethods and Integration.
Strong knowledge of webMethods components and integration design principles.
Familiarity with security, configuration, SSL certificates, and high availability concepts.
Excellent communication and documentation skills.
Should Have
Knowledge of API Gateway, CI/CD tools, and basic Cloud concepts (Azure preferred).
Experience with SSH/RSA/PGP keys and Unix commands.
Understanding of Agile and Sprint methodologies.
