Join Our Spiro*Verse THIS IS A REMOTE OPPORTUNITY IN THE US. As Spiro continues its growth as part of the GES Collective, we’re seeking a Sr. Director, New Business (Sales) to join our Brand Activation & Events (BAE) team. This role is primarily focused on driving proactive sales and prospecting‑building relationships, identifying new opportunities, and converting high‑value accounts—while also supporting and leading strategic RFP responses for approximately 30% of the role.

The Sr. Director will partner with New Business Development colleagues (SVP, Senior Director of Sales, and the broader New Business team) to uncover, qualify, and close net‑new business across a range of industries. They will act as a key connector between prospects and Spiro’s cross‑functional teams (account, strategy, creative, production) to deliver solutions that meet client goals and exceed revenue targets.

Responsibilities

Prospecting & Pipeline Growth (Core Focus - 70% of the role)

Own and manage a robust prospecting strategy to target and secure blue‑chip clients across tech, financial, consumer goods, sports, media/streaming, lifestyle, and retail.

Develop and maintain a prime prospect list in Salesforce CRM, ensuring data accuracy and leveraging analytics for prioritization and follow‑up.

Use Monday.com for pipeline organization, pitch coordination, and cross‑team project management to keep opportunities moving seamlessly from prospecting through close.

Initiate contact, nurture relationships, and conduct regular outreach to build trust and position Spiro as a strategic partner.

Travel up to 30% to attend industry events, networking forums, client meetings, and conferences to increase visibility, build relationships, and generate leads. Potential opportunities to speak on panels, moderate sessions, or contribute thought leadership.

Sales Execution & KPI Accountability

Deliver on FY25 sales targets, with an expectation to drive and convert $5-$7MM in net‑new logo revenue.

Collaboratively set weekly KPI goals with leadership and be accountable for meeting or exceeding them — tracking activities, meetings, opportunities, and pipeline movement.

Provide accurate sales forecasts in Salesforce, track activity against KPIs, and maintain weekly CRM accuracy.

Break down annual sales goals into actionable plans and execute with urgency and consistency.

Understand and monitor the competitive landscape, identifying opportunities to differentiate and improve win rates.

Proposal & RFP Leadership (~30% of Role)

Collaborate with SME leads and integrated teams to develop strategic, winning responses to inbound RFPs/RFIs and outbound pitch opportunities.

Coordinate timelines, task ownership, and resource allocation using Monday.com to ensure on‑time and high‑quality proposal delivery.

Organize and direct pitch presentations, ensuring alignment with prospect objectives and decision‑making criteria.

Client Intelligence & Industry Awareness

Research and understand the business and marketing challenges of targeted prospects.

Stay on top of industry trends, competitor activities, and emerging opportunities in events and brand experiences.

Use insights to tailor outreach, proposals, and conversations to resonate with client priorities.

How to measure success

By 30 days incumbent should understand team dynamics and perform basic job functions independently

By 60 days incumbent should be self‑reliant on basic job functions and begin executing more complex tasks

By 90 days, incumbent should have ownership over specific projects
