Quality Control Analyst II – Contract – Norton, MA
Quality Control Analyst II (100% onsite). Pay Rate: $32.00 - $35.00 per hour.
Overview The Quality Control Microbiology Analyst II plays a role in supporting the department's efforts to maintain the highest standards of quality and compliance from development through to commercialization. In addition to executing routine and non‑routine testing in support of development through commercial programs, the Analyst II may participate in data trending, investigations, and laboratory operations. By ensuring these critical activities are executed within project milestones and timelines, the Analyst II contributes to routine laboratory operations, thereby enhancing the overall efficiency and effectiveness of the QC functions.
Key Qualifications
2+ years’ experience in a regulated laboratory setting with relevant QC experience.
B.S. in biology, biochemistry, chemistry, or related scientific field; Associate’s degree, Biotech Certificate, or equivalent considered.
Experience with basic microbiology methods (bioburden, TOC, endotoxin, conductivity), environmental monitoring, critical utility sampling (water systems, compressed gas), trend reporting, and quality events (investigations, deviations, CAPAs, change controls).
Demonstrated prior experience with microbiology testing and EM/CU sampling.
Data analysis experience preferred.
Ability to work under direction, attention to detail, adapt to shifting priorities.
Good communication and teamwork abilities; effective in a collaborative environment.
Knowledge of LIMS, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint helpful.
Key Responsibilities
Perform routine and non‑routine microbiological assays (bioburden, TOC, endotoxin, conductivity) following established SOPs.
Maintain up‑to‑date training records and adhere to the testing schedule to support timely completion of QC activities.
Assist in laboratory equipment maintenance and inventory management.
Submit data in a timely manner; qualify as data reviewer to ensure efficient data availability.
Perform role‑specific operational assignments (e.g., critical utility sampling, environmental monitoring, product testing).
Contribute to revision and updating of controlled documents (SOPs, work instructions, test methods).
Adhere to internal standards, policies, SOPs, and regulatory/industry standards (GMP, GLP, ICH).
Collaborate with QC and cross‑functional teams to ensure seamless quality control operations.
Participate in inspection readiness activities and support onsite audits and inspections.
Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance QC processes and laboratory efficiency.
