Position Overview The Frank Batten School of Leadership and Public Policy at the University of Virginia seeks applications for part‑time lecturers interested in teaching undergraduate and/or graduate courses during the academic year. The ability to teach core or elective courses on major policy issues or leadership skills are required. An advanced post‑graduate degree, a record of publication, excellence in teaching, and/or public service in government, non‑profit, or for‑profit organizations are highly desirable. Compensation will take the form of wages.

About the Batten School Built upon the strong foundation of one of the nation's top public universities, the Batten School combines rigorous training in policy analysis with a unique emphasis on the acquisition of leadership skills and an understanding of the changing context of public policy in the 21st century. The core faculty includes economists, political scientists, and psychologists, enriched by professors of practice who bring real‑world policy‑making expertise to the classroom. The School currently offers the MPP degree, as well as an accelerated MPP program and an undergraduate major and minor in public policy and leadership. The School also offers dual degree programs with the Darden School of Business (MPP/ MBA), the School of Law (MPP/JD) and other UVA professional schools. The Batten School has been made possible by a $100 million endowment gift from the late Frank Batten, Sr.

Advanced post‑graduate degree.

Record of publication.

Excellence in teaching.

Public service experience in government, non‑profit, or for‑profit organizations.
