Overview Temporary Athletic Event Staff are needed for Colgate athletic events across multiple sports. This part‑time position provides experience with university athletics and offers benefits such as sick leave, paid time off, free parking, and a campus Gate Card.

Responsibilities

Collect and sell game tickets for home events (Ticket Taker, Ticket Seller)

Distribute tickets at will‑call, following NCAA, Patriot League, ECAC Hockey, and university policies (Will Call Attendant)

Assist fans to seats and provide event information (Usher)

Facilitate parking in Colgate home football and men’s ice hockey game lots (Parking Attendant)

Operate scoreboards during home games (Score Clock Operator)

Track official game statistics for basketball/volleyball (Statistician)

Operate instant replay and spotter duties for basketball/volleyball/ice hockey and football (Instant Replay Operator, Spotter)

Assist with penalty box timing and goal placement during ice hockey intermissions (Penalty Box Personnel)

Sell athletic apparel for home events (Kiosk Attendant)

Qualifications

Must be 18 years of age or older.

Dependable and able to work flexible hours, often evenings and weekends.

Excellent customer service skills; able to work under various weather conditions.

Ability to stand for extended periods and work collegially with diverse faculty, staff, and students.

Work Schedule Evenings and weekends, as needed.

Application Information Application review begins on July 01, 2025. The position is temporary; maximum of 999 hours per year for all positions combined.
