Project Manager/Estimator
Walbec Group invites you to join Northeast Asphalt, a family‑owned construction company focused on road, highway, and bridge construction in Northern Wisconsin.
Role and Responsibilities
Plan, schedule, and coordinate project activities to meet deadlines.
Prepare and submit budget schedules, progress reports, and weekly project schedules.
Ensure overall profitability of designated jobs.
Requisition supplies and materials and communicate with construction managers.
Oversee cost‑to‑cost reporting, job labor budgets, weekly schedules, and the scheduling of specific PO materials.
Engage weekly with construction managers and subcontractors to obtain progress reports.
Tackle delays, bad weather, or emergencies and take actions accordingly.
Assist in developing a site safety plan and ensure all jobs and personnel are focused on working safely and efficiently.
Attend and/or lead meetings with owners.
Identify quality control and CRI opportunities.
Build rapport and engage with customers and subcontractors.
Perform other related duties as required and assigned.

Location The main office is located in Fond du Lac, WI. This role will focus on Northern Wisconsin projects. Willingness to travel to any job site and flexibility to work from home are required.
Required Skills
Five plus years of experience as a Project Manager preferred, with WISDOT experience.
Valid Driver’s License; insurable by insurance standards.
Preferred Skills
Prior Project Management experience.
Past experience with Civil Construction Projects.
Bachelor’s Degree or combination of vocational training, certification, and relevant work experience.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Analytical reasoning to identify strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions.
Time management and ability to motivate, develop, and direct people.
Knowledge of heavy construction materials, methods, equipment, and project management within heavy construction materials.
Knowledge of business and management principles for strategic planning, resource allocation, leadership, and coordination of people and resources.
