The Community Based Counselor, also known as Individual Support Counselor, works as part of a team to provide direct supports, guidance, education, advocacy, and supervision for individuals with developmental and cognitive disabilities. They help individuals live safely in the community, maintain their physical and emotional health, foster relationships with family and community, and develop the skills necessary to increase independence. Interaction between staff and individuals reflects an appreciation of each individual’s uniqueness with the goal of mutual learning and growth. The catchment area is Norwood/Walpole Area.
Schedule Tuesday – Saturday 10:00 am–6:00 pm (40 hours)
Rate US $21.67 per hour
Signing Bonus $2,000 sign‑on bonus. First $1,000 distributed after 30 days of active employment; second $1,000 distributed after 6 months of active employment.
