Strategic Procurement Manager – MEAD & HUNT, Inc.
Overview Our company is experiencing unprecedented growth. We are seeking a strategic procurement manager in an on‑call position (i.e., no benefits) with variable hours from zero to 40 per week, sometimes more.
Responsibilities
Provide strategic guidance to support sourcing approaches for Replacement Parts and EPC/Design Build business.
Develop and manage contracts to ensure the most optimal terms and conditions are achieved.
Review, develop, and ensure compliance standards within purchasing policies and align with industry best practices.
Develop sourcing strategies for parts and EPC subcontractors.
Participate in business team meetings to ensure engagement and facilitate relationships with internal business partners.
Occasional travel required.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree (or higher) in business administration, business management, or a related field AND at least two years of relevant capital procurement experience.
OR, if no degree, at least six years of relevant capital procurement experience.
Ideal Candidate
Experience developing procurement strategies.
Experience developing master agreements, business schedules, NDAs, etc.
Experience with legal matters pertaining to procurement.
Experience developing purchasing policies.
Experience mentoring less experienced staff.
Master's degree in business administration, business management, or a related field.
