What You'll Be Doing
Supervise shipping and receiving operations to ensure accurate records, inventory control, and timely order fulfillment
Develop and improve processes related to shipping, receiving, quality, and rework to enhance efficiency and meet performance standards
Coordinate inbound and outbound carrier schedules to meet delivery timelines
Ensure compliance with customer shipping requirements
Recommend improvements for space utilization and workflow
Prepare reports and communicate performance metrics to team and management
Support and enforce safety, security, and facility maintenance programs
Maintain and approve accurate payroll records
Utilize warehouse management systems to optimize labor and meet operational goals
Recommend and implement system improvements
Ensure compliance with ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 standards; participate in audits and serve as an ISO team member
Hire, train, evaluate, and develop team members
Provide coaching, mentoring, and performance feedback
Advise management on personnel and operational issues requiring escalation
Build strong relationships with peers, senior managers, and vendors
Operate within budgetary constraints and assist in budget planning and reconciliation
Develop and maintain departmental standards and procedures
Contribute to tactical and annual operating plans, defining goals and objectives for the team
What You Will Bring
Minimum of 2–3 years of supervisory experience in a warehouse or distribution center environment
Experience with inventory management systems (e.g., WMS, ERP) preferred
Familiarity with shipping/receiving processes and carrier coordination
Strong leadership and team management skills
Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
Ability to analyze data and generate performance reports
Problem-solving mindset with a focus on continuous improvement
The starting annual base pay for this role is between USD $70,000 and $80,000/yr. Please note that this position’s salary range may include multiple levels. The actual base is dependent upon many factors, such as: training, transferable skills, work experience, business needs and market demands. The base pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future.
