Pay:
$17–$19/hr (starting with room to grow)
Location:

PodLab Studios is Detroit’s premium content factory for podcasters, brands, and influencers. We produce high‑end podcasts, social videos, and branded content from our themed studio spaces. The environment is fast‑moving, creative, and collaborative — and we’re looking for a dependable person who can help keep everything running smoothly.
About the Role We’re hiring a professional, organized, and personable Assistant to support the owner with day‑to‑day operations, scheduling, and client coordination. You’ll be the front‑facing point of contact for many guests and clients, ensuring every studio experience runs seamlessly.
This is not a creative or editing position, but having creative chops and a comfort level with studio environments (recording, photo, or video) is a huge plus. Familiarity with social media tools like Later.com or scheduling content across platforms is also great to have.
Responsibilities
Manage the owner’s schedule, calls, and calendar
Organize client communication, reminders, and invoices
Prepare and tidy up sets before and after sessions
Greet and assist clients during shoots or recordings
Keep files and studio assets organized using Google Workspace
Track projects and tasks in tools like Trello, ClickUp, or Asana
Use scheduling platforms like Monday.com or similar tools to arrange the owner’s time and projects
Occasionally assist with light Canva edits, uploads, or social posts
Fit
Dependable, organized, and good with details
Clear communicator who carries themselves professionally
Comfortable multitasking in a fast‑paced creative studio
Experience with Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Drive)
Ability to use or learn project management tools (ClickUp, Trello, Asana, Monday.com)
Bonus: familiarity with social schedulers like Later.com, Hootsuite, or Meta Business Suite
Bonus: enjoyment of working around recording or photography studios
Why You’ll Love It Here You’ll work directly with the founder of PodLab Studios and BuzzWire Media, gaining firsthand experience in operations, client management, and studio production. It’s a collaborative, growth‑oriented environment with the chance to learn and move up as the business expands.
